Once, it was thought that the Earth was shaped like a disk. Humans were afraid to travel to the horizon if they fell from the edge.
Then humans came close to the truth, the Earth, in reality, was round. Closer to the truth, they realized the Earth was shaped like an ostrich egg.
Not only the commons but scientists often misbelief. They kept busy establishing their misbeliefs for ages.
Ptolemy, a Greek astronomer, said, “The Sun revolves around the Earth, and the Earth stands still.”
Many say scientists are totally correct, but I differ. During the ages, their ideas were proven wrong many times.
Millennia after that, Nicolaus Copernicus tried to prove, “The Earth revolves around the Sun, and the Sun stands still.”
It took millennia for scientists to argue what revolves around what. Something is correct because science says so; I differ. Still, there is plenty of space to think.
Meanwhile, science discovered neither the Sun nor the Earth stands still. They both revolve around their own orbit.
However, Allah mentioned in the Quran (36:40), “It is not for the Sun to catch up with the Moon, nor does the night outrun the day. Each is travelling in an orbit of their own.”
Whoever believes science is pure is living in a fool’s paradise. Science travels through the misbelief towards purity. And definitely, the last step of this purity is Quran. This is called faith or Iman.
